How does a cloud consultation work?
Five steps, with the scope and fees in writing before any work begins.
- Open a consultation ticketTell us what you are building, moving or fixing, and which cloud you use. It takes about five minutes.
- We review and replyWe read your request and reply by email with questions or next steps, and set up a short call if it helps.
- You get a written proposalScope, deliverables, timeline and fees are agreed in writing before any work starts.
- We deliver, with updatesWork happens in your cloud accounts, with regular progress updates and documentation as we go.
- Handover and ongoing careYou receive the code, diagrams and runbooks. Stay on a retainer for support, or take it from there.
What are the ways to work with us?
Pick the model that fits the size and shape of the work.

| Fixed-scope project | Building an environment, a migration or a cost optimisation sprint | Defined deliverables, timeline and acceptance checks | Fixed fee agreed in writing |
| Hourly support | Questions, troubleshooting and reviews as they come up | Expert time when you need it | Hourly. Rates are on the Help & Support page |
| Monthly retainer | Production systems that need ongoing care | Monitoring, maintenance, regular reports and priority replies | Monthly fee agreed in writing |

What will you receive?
Depending on the engagement, the deliverables include:
- Architecture diagrams and a written decision record
- Infrastructure as code in a repository you own
- Runbooks for operations, backup and recovery
- A cost model, or a before-and-after cost report
- Security findings ranked by risk, with fixes
- A migration plan and cutover checklist, where it applies

Why choose CloudBrum for cloud consulting?
Decision-first
Every recommendation compares the options first, using the same 17-point framework as the CloudBrum knowledge base: features, risks, cost, security, governance and alternatives.
All three major clouds
We work across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, so the advice fits your workload and budget, not one vendor's catalogue.
Clear scope and fees
What we will do, what you will receive and what it costs are agreed in writing before work starts.
Your accounts, your assets
We work with access you grant and can revoke, and hand over the code, diagrams and documents we create for you.
Typical engagements
Illustrative scenarios, not client case studies.
Launching an MVP
A startup needs a secure, low-cost AWS setup that can scale after launch, with deployment pipelines the team can run itself.
Moving off servers
An SME wants to move a VM-based application to Azure with minimal downtime and a rollback plan.
A growing cloud bill
A SaaS team sees its Google Cloud spend climbing and wants the waste found and a plan to keep it down.
A partner for client work
An agency needs a cloud team behind it to run infrastructure for its own clients under its brand.

Frequently asked questions about cloud consulting
What does a cloud architect do?
A cloud architect designs how an application runs on the cloud: which services to use, how they connect, how they stay secure and available, and what they cost. They also guide migrations and review existing setups for risk and waste.
How can CloudBrum's cloud architects help my organisation?
We design and build cloud infrastructure, migrate workloads, optimise cost, harden security, improve reliability and provide ongoing maintenance on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. You can start with a one-off review or a full project.
How do I open a consultation ticket?
Fill in the consultation form on this page with your name, email, cloud, what you need and a short description. We reply by email with questions or next steps, and agree scope and fees in writing before any work starts.
Which clouds do you work with?
Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including setups that use more than one. If you have not chosen a cloud yet, we can compare them for your workload first.
Can you migrate our existing application to the cloud?
Yes. We assess the application, choose whether to rehost, replatform or refactor each part, plan the data move and cutover with a rollback option, and validate and tune the system after the move.
Can you reduce our cloud bill?
Often, yes. Common savings come from rightsizing, removing idle resources, committed use discounts, storage lifecycle rules and cutting data transfer costs. We review your usage first, then give a ranked list of changes. We do not promise a fixed percentage.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance and monitoring?
Yes. A monthly retainer covers monitoring, alerting, patching, backup checks, access reviews and a regular health and cost report, with priority replies when something breaks.
How much does cloud consulting cost?
It depends on scope. Work is priced as a fixed fee for a defined project, an hourly rate for ad-hoc help, or a monthly retainer. The first 2 hours of every request are free, and scope and fees are agreed in writing before work starts.
How long does a project take?
A review can take days. A new environment or a migration usually takes weeks, depending on size and complexity. We give a timeline in the written proposal, after we understand your workload.
Will we keep control of our cloud accounts and data?
Yes. We work in your accounts using access you grant and can revoke. We hand over the infrastructure code, diagrams and documents we create, and can sign an NDA before you share details.
Do you work with clients outside India?
We are based in India and deliver remotely. Clients outside India are welcome on request; mention your location and time zone in the ticket.
What is the difference between Help & Support and cloud consulting?
Help & Support is for fixing a specific problem quickly and is billed for the time spent. Cloud consulting is for planning and delivering larger work: new infrastructure, migrations, optimisation, or ongoing management.
