Our Cloud Tools

Find your next cloud step

Every tool here answers one question that people keep asking before, during and after a move to the cloud. Tell us what is on your mind and we will point to the right one.

  • Free to use
  • No account needed
  • Not run by any cloud provider

The route, one stop at a time

Start anywhere. The order below is simply how many projects unfold: shape an idea, see how it is built, check you are ready, keep watch, keep the bill lean.

Stop 1 · Shape the idea Live

Service Suggester

“Which service on each cloud does this job?”

Open the Service Suggester

You bring

  • One or two sentences about what you want to build, or the name of a service you already know
  • Optional extras: the clouds you care about, your tech stack, how you will run it and what matters most

Try one of these

You get

  • For every need it spots, the equivalent service on each of the three clouds, in one view
  • Alternatives, with a short note on when each one fits
  • A heads-up when a service you named has been closed or renamed
  • Runs in your browser
  • Rule-based, so it cannot invent a service
  • More than 120 needs in its knowledge base
  • Service names, not prices

Usecases & Cloud Architectural Blueprints

“How do teams usually put something like this together?”

Browse the blueprints

You bring

  • A job in mind: a web app, an API, a mobile back end, a document assistant or a data platform, among 20 patterns in five groups

Start with one of these

You get

  • A labelled diagram, plus a step-by-step walk through how a request travels
  • The matching service on each cloud for every box in the diagram
  • The choice between a managed platform and your own servers, and a list of things to keep in mind
  • For the health and finance patterns, the rules that shape the design
  • Starting points, not design reviews
  • 20 patterns, all ready
  • Each page lists services that have changed

Handy for Architects Decision-makers & Leaders Developers

Stop 3 · Check readiness Live

Migration Readiness Checker

“If we moved next quarter, where would we stumble?”

Start the checklist

You bring

  • Yes, partly, no or not sure for each of 27 questions, grouped into six areas: inventory, applications, data, security, people, and cost and fallback
  • Three optional notes on what you are moving, why, and how soon

You get

  • A score out of 100 with a plain verdict, from “start with an assessment” to “ready to plan the move”
  • A separate score for each area, so weak spots stand out
  • The gaps to close first, ranked by importance, each with what to do about it
  • A rough way to begin, tuned to what you are moving and how soon
  • About 8 minutes
  • Skip any question; ten answers unlock a result
  • A guide, not an audit
  • Runs in your browser

Handy for Decision-makers & Leaders DevOps, Security & FinOps Architects

Stop 4 · Stay current Live

Cloud Changes Tracker

“Is anything I depend on being retired or renamed?”

Open the tracker

You bring

  • Nothing at all, or a service name, or a filter for the cloud and the type of change

Look up one of these

You get

  • 33 notices on services that are closing, retired, renamed or changing direction
  • A list of upcoming deadlines, soonest first
  • The provider’s own announcement linked from every entry, and a shortcut to the suggester to find a replacement
  • An Atom feed, if you would rather be told than check
  • Every entry cites its source
  • Atom feed
  • Carries a checked-on date

Stop 5 · Keep it lean Coming soon

Cloud Detox

“What are we still paying for that nobody uses?”

Opens later

What it is meant to do

  • Look through your cloud accounts for idle servers, unattached disks and storage nobody opens
  • Hand you a list of candidates to switch off
  • Leave the final call with the people who own each item

Who tends to start where

Our suggestion, not a rule. A filled mark is a good first stop for that kind of reader, a ring is worth a look later.

What the tools will not do

Knowing the limits makes the answers more useful. Here is where each tool stops and a person should take over.

None of them quotes a price

The suggester names services and stops there. Use each provider’s own calculator for numbers, and the free tier comparison if you only want to try things out.

The checklist is not an audit

It can only be as honest as your answers. For a move that matters, ask someone who knows your systems to read the result with you.

Ask for a review

A blueprint is not your design

Your data rules, traffic, team skills and budget will bend any reference design. Treat it as the first draft you argue with.

They can trail the providers

Providers keep renaming, merging and shutting down services. Each tool carries its own checked-on date and each tracker entry points to the provider’s announcement. Confirm there before you act.

Questions people ask

Do the tools cost anything, or ask me to sign up?

No. Every live tool is free to use and none of them asks for an account. The suggester and the checklist run entirely in your browser.

Does anything I type or answer leave my device?

Both of them do their thinking locally: the matching and the scoring happen on your device, and CloudBrum never sees what you type or tick. Data moves only if you decide to copy or share a result, ask an AI assistant about it or open a consultation ticket.

Which tool should a manager or executive start with?

If a move is already on the table, start with the Migration Readiness Checker. It takes about eight minutes and ends with a ranked list of gaps you can hand to your team. If you are still exploring, read one or two blueprints first so the vocabulary feels familiar, then ask an architect to react to what you found.

How up to date is the information?

Every tool carries a checked-on date near the top. Names and dates are taken from what the providers announce, and announcements change often, so read our answer as a prompt to verify at the source, not as the last word.

Can I save or share what I find?

Yes. The suggester can copy a link or share by WhatsApp, and the checklist lets you copy or print its summary. The changes tracker offers an Atom feed for your feed reader.

When will Cloud Detox open?

We have not set a date. It is on this page so you can see what is coming. If there is something you would want it to look for, tell us through the feedback form.

Prefer to talk it through?

Bring your result to a cloud architect. We will help you read it, test it against your own constraints and decide the next move.
